Walleye Run Whiskey Very Small Batch 2026-3: Hunter’s Batch is a sweet mash, 7-year-old malted rye whiskey, crafted with 50% whiskey from New Holland Distillery and 50% from Journeyman Distillery. It arrives in a custom bottle featuring ripples inspired by Michigan waters and etched White Pines, Michigan’s official state tree.
Hunter’s Batch opens with warm aromas of spiced maple, dried apple, and seasoned wood, reminiscent of stepping into a cabin after a long morning in the woods. The palate unfolds with steady confidence, bringing warm spice layered with dark cherry, toasted grain, and a touch of applejack sweetness. As it settles, hints of campfire embers and crisp autumn air drift through, grounding the whiskey in the wild places that inspired it. The finish is long, clean, and quietly powerful, leaving behind notes of warm oak, baked fruit, and the satisfying calm that comes after a successful day in the field.
